What to do in Morzine during winter?

Finding a luxury rental accommodation in the heart of Morzine is easy with Emerald Stay. Whether you choose a luxury apartment or chalet, we are sure you will find the perfect accommodation among the best rentals in Haute-Savoie. However, the aim is not to rest in your bedroom the whole day (although it is very tempting).

In fact, the ski domain offers a myriad of activities to help you create unforgettable memories of your mountain vacation. It is a unique place, with breathtaking views and easy descents. Its slopes are a great option for a gentle introduction to skiing. If you are travelling with your children, this domain will certainly convince you.

In addition, the family-friendly ski resort lends itself very well to various winter sports (besides skiing). The slopes of Le Pleney are particularly suitable for sledging. A night session is an ultimate experience. A great attraction for children aged 12 and over, sledging in Morzine is best done with a professional instructor to ensure your safety.

If you're looking for an absolutely fun way to get down the snowy mountains, why not try a yooner too? Halfway between sledging and skiing, this activity (perfect for apres-ski) is sure to delight children (and adults too!).

For a unique getaway in the Northern Alps, another possibility is to choose ski Joëring. A real sporting discipline, it combines equestrian adventure and a ride in the heart of nature. To live this extraordinary experience, take the trails of the Joux Verte pass (on the road to Avoriaz) or in the Derêches park.

Of course, the traditional snowshoe walk is a timeless activity for any vacation in the Northern Alps. There are various itineraries available within the Portes du Soleil domain for you to enjoy. During your holiday in Morzine in particular, organise your outings from the Derêches park, the Manche valley or the Pleney. During these hikes, you will certainly enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the Chablais massif and Lake Geneva.

Again, choosing accommodation that is close to your favourite attractions will make your vacation as comfortable as it is enjoyable. If you have any questions or require further details on the accommodation you prefer, please do not hesitate to contact the Emerald Stay private concierge team.

What to do in Morzine during summer?

Morzine is not just a winter destination. In fact, summer is also a great time for a unique mountain holiday. From slope games (set up by the Morzine Tourist Office) to the Laser Game at Les Derêches, to the Morzine adventure park (which caters for both children and adults), and of course mountaineering, there are plenty of opportunities.

However, a holiday full of surprises in Morzine also means choosing an activity that is full of adrenaline. The summer months will be ideal to try white water sports in Haute-Savoie. Consider rafting from the town down the Dranse to Thonon-les-Bains. Canyoning down the Nyon waterfall is an excellent alternative for more thrills.

Want to make your vacation in Morzine even more special? Consider booking a paragliding flight (from the Joux Plane pass, Pleney or another). You will certainly appreciate the impressive view of the Mont Blanc massif and the Portes du Soleil region. The same applies if you choose to practice yoga.
